This series consists of a dialogue between myself and artist Elizabeth Arzani, with whom I shared a studio space for a year. After both committing to moves towards opposite ends of the country in 2012, (she in Seattle, WA, and I in Pensacola, FL), we continued visual conversations that started in that shared studio via snail mail and semi-quarterly exchanges in our hometown over the next two years. The only limitations to our process included the requirement to not hold any element as so precious or sacred that it could not be altered. Once a piece left one contributors hand, the other was given complete freedom to add or subtract what they felt necessary to contribute to the composition.
